Description

Move Chess Review

Forget everything you think you know about the sixty-four squares. Move Chess strips away the opening theory and the endgame study guides and leaves you with a single, stubborn goal: corner that Red King before he slips away. There's no clock ticking, no rank system to grind, just twenty-four hand-built puzzles that ramp up in that sneaky, gradual way where level twelve suddenly feels nothing like level three. You don't need to know a rook from a bishop going in, and honestly, that's the whole point.

Control Scheme

  • Click any of your blue pieces to wake it up and check its options.
  • The board lights up with every square that piece can legally reach.
  • Click a highlighted tile to send the piece there, plain and simple.
  • No dragging, no timing tricks, just clean point-and-click input.
  • Stuck pieces don't highlight anything, so the game quietly tells you when a move's off the table.

Score-Boosting Tactics

  • Study the Red King's escape routes before touching a single piece; panicking early just wastes moves.
  • Highlight several pieces one after another, even ones you don't plan to move yet, just to map out the whole board in your head.
  • Block diagonal and straight-line retreats first, since the King usually has fewer options than it looks like at a glance.
  • Don't be shy about hitting that Walkthrough button when a level's really got you stuck for more than a few minutes, no shame in it.
  • Replay earlier levels once you've cleared a few new ones; the patterns you pick up later make the easy stages click in a whole new way.
  • Slow down on symmetrical boards, they're deceptive and often hide a one-move trap disguised as an obvious play.
