How To Play Angry Checkers
How To Play
- Tap or click a piece to pick it up, then drag it toward an open diagonal square.
- Line up a jump over an enemy piece whenever the space behind it sits empty.
- Knock every last opposing piece clean off the board before your own side gets wiped out.
- Pick your poison from the mode menu: random opponent online, the AI, or pass-and-play against a friend sitting next to you.
- Watch the board edges closely, since a piece pushed to the wrong corner can get trapped fast.
Nobody ever accused traditional checkers of being thrilling, and this version knows it. It takes the same old grid you remember from rainy afternoons at grandma's house and cranks up the aggression, framing every capture like a tiny brawl instead of a polite little slide across the board. There's no dressed-up story here, no cutscenes, just two sides of a board glaring at each other until one runs out of pieces. The arena feel comes through in how fast matches move, especially against another human, where hesitation gets punished almost instantly. It's checkers with a chip on its shoulder, basically.
Highlights
- Three separate modes cover solo practice, local couch battles, and live matches against strangers online.
- Controls stay dead simple, just touch or mouse, so there's zero learning curve getting started.
- The multiplayer queue tosses you against random opponents, which keeps every session a little unpredictable.
- Hot Seat mode turns one device into a mini arena for two players trading turns back and forth.
- The AI opponent gives newer players room to figure out jump sequences without getting bodied immediately.
- Matches run short and snappy, making it easy to squeeze in one more round before putting the phone down.
