Pro-Level Advice

• Forget everything you know about diagonal checkers. Here the action runs straight up, down, and sideways, so lanes open up in ways that trip up anyone used to the classic version.
• Guard your second and third rows early. Since every piece starts packed along those horizontals, a careless push can leave a whole column exposed to a straight-line capture.
• Mandatory jumps are brutal in this variant, mostly because pieces here can chain multiple captures in a single turn if the lanes line up right. Scan the board for these chains before you commit to a move.
• Push a piece all the way to the back row and it turns into a much stronger mover, one that can zip across open lanes in a single go, so treat that promotion path as a real objective, not an afterthought.
• Against the computer, try baiting it into a forced capture sequence. AI opponents often take the immediate material gain even when it opens up a worse position two moves later.

How To Play

• Pick your mode first, since you can go against the built-in AI, share one device with a friend for local matches, or jump into an online game against a stranger.
• Click or tap the piece you want to move, then tap the square you're sending it to.
• Watch the board for glowing or highlighted squares; they usually mark a legal move or a mandatory capture you can't skip.
• Not playing? You can sit back and spectate a match in progress, or even nudge a suggested move toward whoever's at the board.

The whole point is simple on paper: wipe out your opponent's pieces or box them in so tightly they can't move at all. It's a slower, more grid-like puzzle than the diagonal checkers most people grew up with, and once the straight-line captures start clicking, it's genuinely hard to stop clicking "next match."
